Minecon has been a favorite occasion for vanilla minecraft lovers since 2010, but this year that the decent folks of Mojang are shifting it up. Rather than a physical tradition, it is going to sponsor Minecon Earth — an interactive, live series which will be streamed online.
Within a statement, the Minecon team stated that using such a massive following, it is difficult to optimize the number of buffs can attend the conference whilst still maintaining the”friendly, romantic community setting” of preceding Minecons. So rather, on November 18th, you will be able to flow the 90-minute-long Minecon Earth or see a unique theater screening. The strategy would be to”choose the best pieces of our past events and integrate them in a condensed show devoted to everything Minecraft,” that comprises displaying your own specially-made Minecraft-themed costume. You will have the ability to file your costume ahead of time for inclusion in the series. Swag may also still be part of Minecon Earth. Promotional products will be on sale throughout the series and audiences are going to have the ability to purchase them online.
But, Mojang does need to maintain some kind of in-person knowledge in the combination, so it is also likely to encourage community events directed by accepted partners such as my fire, and Blockfest. Like routine Minecon, these events will comprise popular YouTubers and streamers in addition to tournaments and costume competitions.
More info about Minecon Earth is going to be published in the not too distant future and for people who are bummed about not having the ability to attend Minecon this season, have a look at our policy of this 2015 occasion that occurred in London.
